Cotabato State University (CSU) participated in the prestigious 2025 Mindanao Regional Scientific Meeting (RSM), held on March 26–27, 2025, at the Avior Hotel in General Santos City.
Organized by the National Academy for Science and Technology (NAST) Philippines, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Mindanao Regional Offices, the event aimed to promote bioscience innovations and breakthroughs. The event was hosted by DOST XII.
The RSM featured a series of plenary sessions and discussions focusing on: Bioscience Solutions; Harnessing Bioscience Innovations; Bioscience Breakthroughs; and Bioscience for Inclusive Development. Under the theme “Bioscience Innovations: Transforming Enterprise Ecosystem for Wealth Creation,” the event showcased 18 scientific poster presentations by researchers from top universities, colleges, and research institutions across Mindanao.
CSU’s Dr. Tarhata Piang Solaiman-Guiamalon presented her poster, “Physicochemical and Microbiological Changes of Halal Tipas: A Shelf Study,” as one of the qualifiers of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
This participation demonstrates CSU’s commitment to advancing scientific research and innovation in the region.
