Cotabato State University (CSU) participated in the 32nd Regional Symposium on Research and Development Highlights, organized by the SOCCSKSARGEN Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (SOXAARRDEC) on November 20, 2025, at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) in Kabacan, Cotabato. CSU was represented by Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Director of the Office of Research Programs.
CSU attended the 2nd Bangsamoro Scientific Conference and the 5th BARMM Health Research Forum held on November 16, 2025, at the Blue Lotus Hotel in Davao City. Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Director of the Office of Research Programs (ORP), represented CSU.
In a significant step toward fostering a safer and more inclusive academic environment, Cotabato State University successfully conducted a two-day training titled “Effective Investigation and Conflict Resolution: Enhancing the Capacity of CODI Members.” Held at the College of Law of Cotabato State University, the training took place on September 16 and 17, 2025, gathering 15 participants.
Mindanao, Philippines — Marking its second founding anniversary, the Mindanao, Sulu, Palawan – Innovative Research and Development Consortium (MinSuPala-IRDC) proudly unveiled its official website: https://www.minsupalairdc.com. The milestone signifies a bold step forward in fostering inclusive, data-driven development across Southern Philippines. Originally established through a landmark Memorandum of Agreement signed on July 20, 2023, the creation of the consortium was witnessed by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, whose vision and leadership have played a crucial role in its foundation and sustained growth.
In a proactive move to further strengthen gender advocacy within the Cotabato State University, 22 members of the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) took part in a three-day intensive training titled “Capacity Building for GAD Advocacy: A Training Program for GAD Focal Point System Members” held from September 2 to 4, 2025, at Firelane Catering Services, Cotabato City.
A two-day benchmarking activity by the Cotabato State University-Resource Generation Office (CSU-RGO) team recently concluded, with an emphasis on enhancing knowledge and practices in agricultural sustainability, livestock production, and fish pond management. The team, led by Executive Assistant Raffeq S. Alim, DBA representing Dr. Teng A. Alim, the CSU-Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development for Resource Generation (VPREDRG), visited several notable institutions and farms in Mindanao, gathering insights on advanced farming techniques, forage crop cultivation, and aquaculture management.
