The CSU Graduate School organized a seminar on the Implications of Social Change for Countering Violent Extremism on January 19, 2023. The activity was facilitated by PD 704 students under the direction of Dr. Norodin Salam. Student officers from each program of the eight colleges attended the program. Since the participants are the future leaders of their societies, Dr. Salam stressed the importance of understanding peace in his welcome remarks. The Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, emphasized in her message that we should all be aware of the current realities of our community.
The CSU Graduate School conducted the Seminar-Workshop on Thesis Writing and Literature Review from January 14-15,2023 in the Audio Visual Room of the university facilitated by MS 601- Research Methods and Design course under Dr. Norkaina Samama. The said activity was attended by graduate students from various programs, including MSSW, MPA, MAEd, MBA, MAIEM and MAIS. In addition to providing participants with an opportunity to prepare highly scientific research papers, the seminar workshop also assists them in preparing their thesis proposals.
The Team Institutionalization of Peace and Development Project (IPDP) conducted a two-day seminar-workshop on Culture of Peace last January 4-5, 2023, at the Pagana Restaurant, Cotabato City. The Institutionalization of Peace and Development Project (IPDP) is an Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) project based under the Commission on Higher Education headed by Dr. Jaimelyn L. Ututalum, the Project Director, together with her members Dr. Saidamin P. Bagolong, Team Leader, Dr. Norodin D. Salam, Dr. Jose Arnold L. Alfrerez, and Dr. Mobarac D. Dimasindel, as members.
In response to CSU's goal to improve the quality of life of the communities through the implementation of extension services, the public administration program conducted its annual community extension services project dubbed "Reformed Initiatives for Sustainable Empowerment Using Participatory approach to Bridge Unemployment through Leadership Discourse to bring Organizational Network or RISE UP BULDON project" with the theme "Ang Magaling na Pamantasan Tumutulong sa Pamayanan."
The Cotabato State University celebrated its Year End Assessment Party on December 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM held at Alnor Convention Hotel. Participants of the Assessment Party were the Vice Presidents, Heads of the offices, Deans, Directors, Faculty, Staff and the retirees of the institution.
CSU Graduate School faculty headed by Dean Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Dr. Samsia A. Ibrahim and MSAE AE 603 students conducted Agriculture Training on Native chicken production and management, Urban Gardening and food tray weaving in Barangay Rosary Heights 11, Cotabato City. The said activity introduced participants to the importance of organic farming, the industry of turning farm wastes into organic fertilizer, and making money out of trash which is essential in improving the lives of the community within the existing ecosystem and minimizing pollution and erosion of the fertile soil.
