Seven faculty members of the university participated in the Orientation and Stakeholder Meeting for Establishing Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources (AANR) and Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Consortia in BARMM. The event, held on June 17, 2025, aimed to establish two consortia in the Bangsamoro Region, fostering collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and stakeholders. The initiative was led by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
The participants included Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Asst. Prof. Rhanest Tilendo, Asst. Prof. Bahiya Kid, Asst. Prof. Anderson Rojas, Dr. Raffiq Alim, Dr. Pembain H. Solaiman, and Engr. Walid Sarip.
The establishment of the AANR and Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Consortia is expected to contribute significantly to the region’s development, particularly in areas such as sustainable agriculture, aquatic resource management, and environmental conservation. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the consortia can help address pressing challenges and improve the lives of people in the Bangsamoro Region.
