The second and final day of the 2025 Writeshop on Research Packaging for Publication was held today at the Golden Lace Resto in Cotabato City. The activity brought together faculty researchers to discuss key topics related to research publication and incentives.
The University's president, Dr. Sema G. Dilna, stressed the importance of equipping faculty with the right skills and knowledge to package their research for publication. He emphasized that this would not only enhance the quality of research outputs but also contribute to the university's overall academic reputation. Dr. Dilna also highlighted the need for continuous learning and collaboration to keep pace with evolving publication standards and expectations.
Dr. Teng A. Alim, Vice President for Research, Extension, Development & Resource Generation, led the discussion on CSU Research Incentives and Benefits for Faculty and Personnel Researchers, highlighting the guidelines, qualifications, and procedures outlined in the approved CSU Research Manual.
Dr. Saidamin P. Bagolong, Director of the Policy and Scientific Publication Office, shared insights on converting institutionally funded research into publishable articles. Participants were tasked with preparing articles, which will be submitted to the Office of Research Programs (ORP) and forwarded to the PSP Office for further processing.
With the conclusion of the two-day event, participants are expected to apply the learnings and insights gained to enhance their research publication endeavors.
